Finally Paquita arrived, Pioggia's long awaited foal. The 11th of July, 30 min before midnight she was born in the garden of Villa Stabbia.
Pioggia managed the birth completely on her own, however Paquita was very weak and although she tried very hard, she was unable to get up on her own.
Pioggia tried her best to help Paquita both in getting up and in showing her where to get the milk, but Paquita needed support and guidance throughout.
The next day she was moved to the box where she could concentrate on sleeping and eating, in order to gain strength.
Five days later she was finally allowed out and introduced to the rest of the group, all carefully supervised by her mum.
