Winter can also be beautiful

Being at the foot of the mountains, winters are usually just cold and rainy. Snow usually amounts to a cm at the most and only stays around for a day, at maximum two.This time however snow covered the whole landscape as a soft white duvet and remained for almost a week.
The amazing thing was not the snow, nor the below zero temperatures - but the silence. Even in winter there are always birds singing or generally making noises. It was totally quiet - and peaceful
Also a great occasion for taking some different kind of pictures.
