Saving a small baby owl
June 2011
One late evening in June, the sounds of a very distressed mother and baby owl were heard. The chick had fallen out of the nest and unable to get back.
Although the mother desperately tried to get it back, the chick became more and more exhausted. It was gently picked up and feed some chicken liver - which it thoroughly enjoyed, before taken to a bird sanctuary to recover.
A couple of months later, its brother or sister was seen in the garden, now able to fly.
